Maintenance Day Care

Bo Tien Maintenance Day Care (MDC)

was established as part of our continued commitment to supporting the elderly

who are ambulant and do not require institutional care.

​

The MDC provides community-based, daytime programmes designed to offer support and engagement for seniors. 

 

The Centre was officially opened on           17 April 1999 at Block 125, Pending Road.

   At Bo Tien Maintenance Day Care (MDC), we aim to:

  • Provide quality day care in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment

  • Support “ageing in place” by helping seniors stay active and independent through meaningful activities

  • Build strong partnerships with families and the community in caring for the elderly

   Eligibility Criteria:

  • Aged 55 years and above

  • Singapore Citizens and Permanant Residents who qualify for subsidies based on means testing

  • Family members are unable to provide full-time care for the elderly

  • Ambulant and able to perform basic self-care (e.g. feeding, toileting, grooming)

​

   Health Assessment:

  • The nursing aides will regularly monitor the health of the elderly (such as blood pressure, glucose levels, and weight/height), and inform family members if any abnormalities are detected, so that timely medical follow-up can be arranged.
